It is with great pleasure and a sense of homecoming that I invite you to join us for the Asian Seed Congress 2025, to be held in the vibrant city of Mumbai, India. This marks a significant milestone as we return to India for the fifth time in our Congress history, underscoring the profound importance of India in the Asia Pacific seed industry and APSA's deep-rooted relationship with our Indian members.
India, often referred to as the cradle of agriculture, has been at the forefront of agricultural innovation for millennia. From the ancient practices of the Indus Valley Civilization to the Green Revolution of the 20th century, India's agricultural journey mirrors the evolution of farming itself. Today, as the world's second-largest producer of rice, wheat, and many fruits and vegetables, India continues to play a pivotal role in global food security and agricultural advancement.
APSA's connection with India is both historical and enduring. Indian seed companies were some of the founding members of our Association, and Indian seed professionals have consistently been at the forefront of APSA's initiatives and leadership. The decision to host the Asian Seed Congress in Mumbai is a testament to this strong bond and India's continued significance in our collective efforts to advance the seed industry in Asia and the Pacific.
To be held from 17th to 21st November 2025, the Asian Seed Congress 2025 promises to be an event of unparalleled opportunity and insight. Our host city, Mumbai, apart from being the financial and entertainment capital of India, is also the state capital of Maharashtra, a State that stands as a powerhouse in India's agricultural landscape. Maharashtra's diverse agro-climatic zones support a wide variety of crops, making it a microcosm of India's agricultural diversity. Maharashtra's robust seed industry, coupled with its strong research and development infrastructure, makes it an ideal location for our Congress.
I encourage you to take full advantage of this opportunity to connect with peers, explore new business prospects, and contribute to shaping the future of our seed industry in the Asia-Pacific region.
I look forward to welcoming you to Mumbai for what promises to be an inspiring, productive, and truly memorable Asian Seed Congress 2025.

Teck Wah Koh
President, Asia and Pacific Seed Alliance (APSA)
